Fall Conference Plan
These past months have been an unprecedented time in all of our lives. While there are uncertainties, one constant is the desire of our staff to hear from families, caregivers, and students about how they are doing and about how the supports we have in place are working. Another consistency is the tradition of Fall conferences.
While we will not be holding in-person meetings with guardians and students, Legacy staff will be inviting you to schedule a conference to discuss how your student is progressing and to learn how we can better support them and you. You can choose to engage via phone, Google Meets, or Zoom.
A 30-minute conference slot will be scheduled with you by an Individual teacher or one of our school counselors. We do have some flexibility in scheduling to allow for meeting the needs of your family and the needs of our staff. In general, the following dates and times are when conferences will be held:
Thursday (11/19) - 12:30, 1:00, 2:30, 3:00, 3:30. 4:00, 4:30, 5:00, 5:30, 6:00, 6:30
Friday - (11/20) - No conferences after 11:30 am due to evening conference appointments
Monday - (11/23) - 12:30, 1:00, 1:30, 2:00, 2:30, 3:00
Tuesday 11/24 - 12:30, 1:00, 1:30, 2:00, 2:30, 3:00
Wednesday 11/25 - No conferences. Students have class work time from 8:00 to 11:00.
Legacy students will still have school on conference days. From 8-11 am each day, students are expected to engage in the independent (asynchronous) learning activities posted in their Google Classroom. Students are also expected to check the announcement "stream" in Google Classroom to see if their teachers will be holding Zoom class meetings during these conference days. The days that classes will meet will vary depending on individual class needs and each teacher's conference schedules. So, it's very important for students to be checking each of their Google Classrooms every day.
We look forward to connecting with you, discussing your student’s progress to date, and learning how school is going for your students right now. As always, please reach out to us via phone or email before or after the conference dates with your questions or concerns.
