Superintendent Robbins to Hold Community Building Circles
As part of his Entry Plan work, Dr. Robbins, Marysville School District Superintendent, is planning to hold Community Building Circles in schools across the District.
Community building circles are spaces where participants engage in intentional communication to share experiences and build relationships with each other. “There is no ‘typical’ community building circle because all circles are unique and are informed by circle participants,” said Dr. Robbins. Community building circles are designed to establish foundations that guide how a community interacts with each other and bring communities closer through sharing stories and perspectives. Participants will learn how community-building circles help establish a safe and supportive space conducive to equitable and authentic conversation. Currently, there are four scheduled opportunities for parents, guardians, and school staff to attend:
Shoultes Elementary School, September 29, 6:30 pm
Cedarcrest Middle School, October 6, 8:00 am
Allen Creek Elementary School, October 6, 4:00 pm
Marysville Pilchuck High School, October 13, 6:30 pm
Community members and/or parents, guardians, and staff from other schools are welcome to attend and participate in any of the above opportunities.
