September 30th is Orange Shirt Day.
Orange Shirt Day is a day of remembrance and a day to raise awareness around residential boarding schools.
It is a day to recognize the importance of remembering the Native American children who died in the boarding school system and to honor the survivors and their descendants.
The Marysville School District Board of Directors, by Proclamation, encourage the wearing of orange shirts on September 30 in remembrance of those whose lives were taken so tragically.
