February 28, 2022: Today, Governor Inslee announced, effective March 12, 2022, indoor mask requirements will be lifted for schools and on school buses. This follows the earlier announcement lifting the outdoor mask mandate that went into effect on February 18.
We will continue to follow the requirements of the Governor, the Department of Health, and our local Snohomish County Health District. Between now and March 12th, all students, staff, and volunteers/visitors will be required to continue to wear a mask indoors and on buses. After the requirement goes into effect on March 12, mask wearing indoors, on buses, and outdoors will be optional.
The Washington State Department of Health will be issuing new guidance for K-12 schools next week so schools can prepare to implement updated safety protocols.
