Way To Go! On Saturday, March 9th Marysville Pilchuck High School competed in the Top Tech Automotive Skills competition. The competition included a 75 question written test along with Precision Measurements, Brakes, Electrical Wiring and Diagnosis, Tire and Wheel familiarity, Scan Tool data retrieval, Tool identification, and Service Writing. Each station was timed and was independently judged for safety practices, along with accuracy and quality of work. The MPHS Automotive team consisted of juniors Kyle Stoker and Aidan Walker who finished third overall. Both Kyle and Aidan each won a $5,000 scholarship to Universal Technical Institute along with some Snap-On tools for the school automotive program. They are also eligible to compete again next year for the grand prize of a $10,000 which can be combined with the $5,000 they received this year.
