Students in Mrs. Frances Mack's STEM Foods classroom had been learning about pie making for 2 days. They discussed the importance of venting pie crust to allow for the release of steam created by the combination of moisture and heat.
"The kids had such a great time and even got creative in their crust venting! The end result is a happy, flaky, (never soggy) pie. Today was one of those days when I am reminded of why I LOVE TO TEACH!" said Mrs. Mack.
