The Marysville School District Facility Committee convened tonight for their first meeting. Led by Mike Sullivan, Executive Director of Finance and Operations, with support from Brandon Keppler, Maintenance Manager, committee members received an overview of the longterm District Facilities Plan and toured Liberty Elementary School led by Rich Middaugh, Principal, with help from Mr. Sullivan, Mr. Keppler, and Jim Long, Custodial Manager. The group also discussed levies and bonds and the age and condition of the District's schools. Mr. Middaugh shared that Liberty Elementary is 71 years old and was built before man walked on the moon. The committee members were given an opportunity to ask questions and share information. The group will meet again in two weeks and once again before the summer break. All meetings are open to the public. Interested parties can follow the work of the committee at www.msd25.org.
