Claire Michal, junior at MGHS, was selected as a delegate to the 61st annual United States Senate Youth Program. Claire is one of two students selected in Washington State and one out of 104 students selected nationwide. The students will represent their States in Washington DC the week of March 4.
The United States Senate youth program is a 61-year partnership between the United States Senate and the Hearst Foundation. During the program week, delegates will meet with their United States senators, the President, a Justice of the Supreme Court, and leaders of cabinet agencies among others. Claire was chosen through a competitive process administered by the Association of Washington Student Leaders and the Association of Washington School Principals on behalf of OSPI.
